Our utility installed a digital thermostat some years ago, but it was never truly of great quality. The flat push-button screen with vinyl covering looked like it was from the middle of the 1980s.
You had to really push on it to make any adjustments because it was never very responsive.
Eventually, and really very quickly after installation, the vinyl began to crack under the strain of the push buttons. A few of the buttons abruptly quit functioning altogether.
Fortunately, not the most significant ones. Always a few degrees off. Additionally, the utility had the authority to turn it off during periods of high demand.

We purchased this since the electronically programmed ones are pricy, terrible, and prone to failure. After the identical programmed ones failed days apart, we put this one in both my mother’s house and our house. Not having to worry about all that things is wonderful. One individual found this useful.

It’s incredible! This tiny fellow maintains the temperature that you choose! It doesn’t immediately change the temperature to 66 or 75 after setting it at 70 a minute earlier since it assumes you are hot or chilly. There is no need to browse a menu or touch buttons. The temperature is set by simply aligning the little red line with the desired setting. Never again will I use a computerized, smart, garbage thermostat.

It is such a relief to get rid of the problematic digital thermostat and batteries. You’ll be OK if you pay attention to the installation instructions. The only issue we encountered was the absurdity of having to remove the screws from the DIGITAL thermostat before installing the manual one. Although it would be wonderful if it were in Celcius, we can make do.

How long does a Honeywell thermostat last?
The normal lifespan of a Honeywell thermostat for upkeep, repair, or replacement is variable (unlike air conditioners that need a tune-up every year). However, in general, you may anticipate your thermostat to endure at least ten years.
How can I get around a Honeywell thermostat’s temperature limiter?
To quickly change the temperature, press up or down. This will momentarily override the current time period’s temperature setting. The word “Temporary” and the current program period will flash together on the display. The revised temperature will be applied until the start of the next period.
When should my Honeywell thermostat’s batteries be changed?
When required, changing the batteries in your Honeywell thermostat is a quick and straightforward chore for home maintenance. Batteries for Honeywell thermostat often need to be changed once a year. You shouldn’t have any issues keeping control of your thermostat if you regularly change them.
What occurs if the battery in a Honeywell thermostat dies?
The thermostat will cease operating, the low batteries will ultimately run out, and your heating or cooling systems won’t work. The HVAC system is unable to comply with temperature orders that don’t exist.
Why is my home colder than what the thermostat says it should be?
The room temperature may also fluctuate from the temperature set by your Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001 due to poor airflow, defective sensors, or other damaged components. Your heating bill is the biggest indicator that your furnace is to blame.
Why does my 73-degree house seem cold?
An outdated air filter, a broken furnace, inadequate insulation, or leaky ductwork could all be the cause of your home’s coldness. Simple fixes, like changing an air filter, are usually not too difficult to accomplish. But if the heater itself requires work, it’s advisable to have a technician come take a look and figure out the issue.
How come my Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001 won’t rise above 70?
This is most frequently an issue if your thermostat is more recent or if you recently lost power as a result of a power outage or low batteries. Over time, a dated thermostat might also require calibration. Replace your thermostat if it doesn’t maintain the correct calibration.
What does a Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001 override button do?
When using Temporary Override, you can adjust the room’s temperature or set point until the next planned schedule set point is about to begin, at which point the programmed schedule takes control.
How can I tell if the battery in my Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001 is low?
Your Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001 display will show a low battery warning when the batteries are almost empty. Some Honeywell thermostats use light in place of a signal that the display is on. Your batteries may still have a month or two left to live at this point, so now is a good time to swap them out.
Does the Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001 suffer from low batteries?
A low battery can result in a variety of inaccurate readings on the Honeywell Home Thermostat CT87N1001, which can lead to the thermostat turning on when it shouldn’t, the room temperature being off, and the central system not functioning at all.
