I suppose you could say that at this time I’m quite well-established in the Wemo universe. My older wireless G router, which is located on the first floor in the kitchen of my house constructed in 1875, works wonderfully with all devices. In addition to the three stories (including the finished attic), solid hardwood frame and flooring, thick plaster, and lathe walls (and perhaps some lead paint I’d like to pretend isn’t there), I also have a metal tile ceiling in the kitchen. It’s the very worst-case scenario, except perhaps brickwork.

Once I had a functioning connect hub, I was able to interact with the Wemo using the Home app. In my situation, Apple TVs required appropriate reconfiguration. Why does my Wemo continually shut off?
It’s conceivable that a Rule is recorded on your Wemo device but is not seen in your Wemo app if your Wemo device is turning ON/OFF by itself even without any Rules being defined. By returning your Wemo device to factory defaults, you can delete this Rule.
How should my wsp100 be configured?
Step 1: Connect your Wemo Smart Plug and turn it on. Wait for the plug’s light to alternately flicker white and orange in step 2. Step 3: Place your phone’s upper back close to the Wemo and then follow the onscreen instructions. The connection could require a small angle adjustment.
