good compatibility with my wifi and Amazon Alexa system. This is mostly for timing devices and preventing overcharging (overnight). Although pricey, Kasa is of high quality. I advise delaying purchase till there is a discount.

This is the second item I’ve bought for my KP303, which is basically a smaller version with three outlets. I was so pleased with the first purchase that I chose to replace my previous surge protector with this one, which has six additional outlets. The addition of separate on/off buttons for each of its outlets is one of the features I didn’t think I would appreciate;

it wasn’t a feature I would think is of much use, but if I’m near the outlet, the option to rapidly switch it on/off is definitely a convenience.

The USB charging ports continue to be the one feature I didn’t find handy. Even though it’s a good addition, I realized that I’ve never utilized them. I often charge with a PIQ 3.0 65W charger. The provided ports’ maximum 5V @ 2.4A output is insufficient for me to charge my phones, tablets, laptops, and Nintendo Switch. I think replacing these ports with one PIQ 3.0 compatible port, or something like, with at least 65W (100W would be much better! ), will significantly improve the product’s appeal.

Can I use a Kasa HS300 Smart Plug and Power Strip together?
A power strip may be plugged into a TP-Link Smart Plug, and you can use the Kasa app or voice commands with Amazon Echo or Google Assistant to switch it on or off. The power strip’s total amperage and wattage demand should not exceed that of the Smart Plug’s rated amperage and wattage.

Up to six devices can be powered by a typical power strip. Yes. I experimented with this using various lighting sources. The extension cable is not a hindrance to connecting to your home WiFi network because the connector is on/off.

Is the Kasa HS300 Smart Plug and Power Strip safe to leave on all night?
Never use a power strip continuously. Power strips often don’t have cables designed to withstand prolonged usage, unlike outlets in the wall. How long can a Kasa HS300 Smart Plug and Power Strip be used?

Anyone interested in scheduling, voice commands, and remote access to daily items up to 1,500 watts should consider this smart plug.

How is a Kasa HS300 Smart Plug and Power Strip used?
Plugging in power strips into a grounded wall socket is recommended. Never connect a power strip to an extension cable, surge protector, or power strip that is already in place. A twin wall outlet should only have one power strip or surge protector plugged in. Power strips should only be used for low-voltage gadgets.

What happens if a Kasa HS300 Smart Plug and Power Strip is overloaded?
The plastic may melt if the strip is overloaded, endangering your house or place of business and any nearby equipment as well as creating a fire hazard. Consider the amperage needs of each device you want to put into a power strip if you’re concerned about overloading one.
