Audio-Technica ATH-M20X
DIMENSIONS: 11.4 x 10 x 4.1 inches, WEIGHT: 6.7 ounces, MATERIAL TYPE: Aluminum, TYPE: Closed-back dynamic, DRIVER DIAMETER: 40mm, FREQUENCY RESPONSE: 15-20kHz, MAXIMUM INPUT POWER: 700 mW at 1 kHz, SENSITIVITY: 96 dB, MANUFACTURER: Audio-Technica
For about $50, Audio-Technica offers one of the best and most comfortable studio headphones. The Audio-Technica ATH-M20X is a member of the well-known M-Series range. These headphones provide precise audio while remaining pleasant to wear. They are decent over-ear headphones that are not the best on the market, but they perform above average when compared to other headphones at their price point. They also have some noise-cancelling capabilities, but no noise-cancelling capabilities, which could influence the sound and listening experience.
The M20x’s sound quality is also rather good, with a wide frequency response that covers the whole audible range.
Decent Design
They are black in color and have the same design as the ATH-M30x, but with minor differences. Because of the inexpensive plastic and thin metal frame used to manufacture the headband, they are extremely light. The headband may be adjusted.
The ear pads are soft and comfy for lengthy periods of time, and they do not put a strain on the ears. These headphones aren’t portable, and they don’t fold up into a little package.
Sound Performance
These M20X headphones have been expertly tuned. They have a balanced frequency range, which makes them stand out because sound-quality headphones in this price range are hard to come by. Another conservative element is the high frequency and high-mid cut, which only cuts and boosts 5 dB. The sound endings can be fixed with calibration. Unfortunately, the bottom end is nearly 60Hz and can be decreased.
At lower frequencies, deviations are few; but, at higher frequencies, such as above 5 kHz, they become more prevalent.
