FAQs
Can you purchase alternative switches and replace them yourself if you purchase the green switches? Or is soldering involved?
No. As the Razer BlackWidow V3 is made to only work with green mechanical switches, soldering is not advised. Compatible keycaps can be changed, but switching switches is not advised because any physical alterations or potential damage void the warranty.
Has the duplicate key press issue ever been resolved? only when I press my E key
There seems to be a persistent issue with the product. The numeric keypad and the forward slash are my problematic keys. seems to change from unit to unit
Can the battery be changed by the user? if it passes away in a year? I don’t want a brick since, like phones, they eventually lose their batteries.
No. Although the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro’s battery cannot be changed, a wired connection is also possible.
Will I need to connect the keyboard once I’ve finished charging it? without using Bluetooth or another USB connection
No. After charging, you can use the keyboard without connecting it again. 2.4 GHz WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB connections are all available for connecting the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro to a computer.
How long does the battery last and is wireless charging possible?
Wireless charging is not possible with the Razer BlackWidow V3 Pro. When the lights are off, the battery life is up to 200 hours. Battery life is affected by the brightness and lighting effects of your backlighting when it is on. Examples of typical battery life with backlighting are provided below:
- White backlight at 50% brightness is up to about 14hrs
- Spectrum cycling backlight at 50% brightness is up to about 25hrs
- White backlight at 100% brightness is up to about 6hrs
- Spectrum cycling backlight at 50% brightness is up to about 13hrs
The tilde key and the print screen key are there on this keyboard, right? the little replica.
I couldn’t bear the tilde in the upper right corner, so I ultimately returned this. I wanted to remap it to ctrl-esc and believed it could be done, but support told me it couldn’t be done. I may be mistaken, but I don’t remember seeing any print.
Has it had an overcharge defense?
since you connected your keyboard to your computer. And a surge protector is connected to your computer. It will be safeguarded. If you’re referring to the battery and being plugged in for an excessive amount of time, I usually have mine plugged in and unhook it when I want to move about a bit. I’ve never had a problem.
What is the length of the keyboard’s warranty? The vendor should be contacted at the location where it states “click here for warranty information.”
Razor will uphold the warranty. You may upload Amazon proof of purchase and follow the processes on their website. With the keyboard, I haven’t needed to do this, but I have made advantage of the Xbox Razer PC controller’s warranty. It took a few weeks for them to replace it, and when they finally did, they gave me the most recent model because the controller I had before had been discontinued. They must follow the same policy for all of their items, in my opinion. For simpler support, you may also register your device with Razor.
Even though there are no rbg lights or any other activity when I go to 2.4 GHz, my computer still indicates that I’m connected. works only with a charging cable. help?
Over 2.4GHz and a wired connection, the Razer Studio lighting features, Audio Visualizer, and onboard memory ought all be accessible. The lighting features are only restricted via Bluetooth connections owing to a built-in bandwidth cap. Please contact our support if you are experiencing functional problems with the features via the 2.4 GHz connection so that we may investigate further and assist you.
better logitech g915 yes?
according to your preferences, The Logitech g903 mouse and the Black widow V2 (I presently own the V3) are my preferred pairings. If effects are more important to you, I’d recommend Razer, but if you like a slimmer style, I’d recommend Logitech. The wrist guard on the V3 is not much better than a piece of rough plastic without any cushioning, so you shouldn’t even think about it while making your choice.
