GETTING STARTED
How to charge
- Connect one end of the USB cable to the charging case and another end to a mobile phone charger. Plug the charger into a wall socket.
- Open the case’s lid and remove the earbuds.
- A Red LED light flashes indicating that the case is charging. It fully charges in approximately 3.5 hours.
How to connect
- Open the charging case lid and take out the earbuds.
- The earbuds will enter pairing mode automatically.
- Wear an earbud with R in your right ear and one with L in your left ear and wait for almost 7 seconds.
- On your Android & iOS, go to settings and turn the Bluetooth On. Search for Sony earbuds and tap pair to connect.
How to Play/Pause
- Insert the right earbud in your right ear and the left earbud in your left ear.
- Tap the right earbud to play or pause the music.
How to Turn On/Off
- Place the earbuds in the charging case and close the lid, the earbuds will turn off automatically.

FAQs
Are these water- and sweat-resistant?
The earphones could feature a P2i coat or nano coat that can guard against sweat, even if this does not have an IP (Ingress Protection) designation. how is the call quality on the phone? I’m shocked that hasn’t come up in any reviews. Is it at least as nice as AirPods?
Terrible for phone conversations in environments with considerable background noise, like an airport. Outside noise is audible over the other end of the connection more so than my voice. Additionally, the sound becomes robotic and distorted, and the connection becomes choppy. These issues are unexpected for earphones of this caliber.
Is it possible to use it only for noise cancellation without needing to listen to music?

How well does the bass?
The bass is excellent, to be sure. You can adjust the bass and create your own unique settings by using the companion app. I have been pleased with the bass on them because it is something that is extremely important to me.
How effective is noise cancellation? Does it resemble over-ear headphones?
No, in my view. I have both of these and the Sony WH-1000XM2 over-the-ear noise-canceling headphones, although the latter are far better in this area. I believe that much of the nose block is provided by the ear cup itself. Although I haven’t used the earbuds in noisy environments like trains or aeroplanes, they dampen sounds in coffee shops rather than giving you the impression that a “cone of quiet” is surrounding you as with over-the-ear headphones.
Has anyone ever used this on a shooting range as an active earplug? I wonder how effectively the hearing is protected.
The WF-1000XM3 is not a range-specific ear plug, and I just don’t feel like buying one for that situation. The noise canceling feature works well in low-frequency environments like those found in cars, trains, workplaces, and areas close to air conditioning, but it struggles to block out higher frequencies like human voices. Consider using earplugs designed specifically for shooting ranges.
How is the bass? for songs with lots of bass.
Although I think the bass is plenty, there will always be some who demand more, more, and more. You may always dial more if you wish to because the tone control is compatible with all music sources. They might not have enough bass, though, to blow out your fillings or set off vehicle alarms from ten feet away.
