How to make Astro headphones more comfortable
Take some foam or other cushioning and tuck it all the way under the ear pad of your headphones to increase comfort. The pad’s thickness should rise as a result, giving your ears additional room within the cup.

FAQs
Can you use this headset to determine the exact location of a footstep or bullet?
The phrase or element to which you are alluding is known as “Surround Sound.” The A10 Headset is a 3.5mm stereo headset, which means it just transmits audio (through a left and right channel); it only transmits surround sound when attached to a device that can process and send it. The MixAmp Pro TR with the A10 Headset can provide Dolby Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound.
The A10 Headset may so also offer Dolby Atmos and Windows Sonic 3D Audio, according to this information. For more details on 3D Spatial Audio and ASTRO Gaming products, go here.
Will the PC version also function on a PS4?
The PC version will work with the PS4 as well, yes. Simply put the A10 headset’s Inline cable into the bottom of the PS4 controller using the bottom of the controller as the connector. The audio and chat features of the game will function correctly in this manner.
Do they work for the PS3, since I still occasionally play Bo2 and MW3?
I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think they’ll function with the PS3 controller. If I remember properly, the PS3 dual shock controller does not contain the audio port that I am now using with my A10 headphones.
This microphone has voice feedback, right?
Although I’m quite sure it doesn’t, you can enable that capability in Windows and have Windows pipe back the audio if it’s that crucial to you. You have been forewarned; I purchased these headphones and returned them. The ear cups only swivel up and down and are fixed when it comes to swaying side to side (if that makes sense), thus I was experiencing some strange pressure areas. I found them to be rather unpleasant. Disclaimer: Although I am accustomed to spending $300 on headphones, I chose to purchase a $40 Turtle Beach headset since it could rock back and forth, allowing me to position the ear cup comfortably on my head.
How does the headset handle sound—stereo or surround?
The MixAmp pro-TR can produce Dolby headphone 7.1 surround sound when used with the ASTRO Gaming A10 Gaming Headset, which is a 3.5mm stereo headset and can only provide music via the left and right channels.
Why can I only hear sounds coming from my right ear? I’ve tried switching wires and adjusting the PS4’s settings. Are they supposed to be that way?
Both sides ought to function; when I first received the headsets, there was an issue, but it was caused by my failure to fully attach the cord. Ensure that both the cable connecting to the remote and the one that links to the headsets are pushed all the way in. If it still doesn’t function, your gadget is broken.
How do I remove the odd static on my microphone? I tried many methods, but they had just been purchased.
using the mobile cable to test Reconnect the microphone, plug the adapter into a separate USB port, and double-check that the headset’s 3.5mm wire is firmly connected. Make sure the mic is correctly positioned and attached to the headset before disconnecting and reconnecting it. If at all feasible, test on a separate PC. Please contact our support staff if the problem continues.
Is this Xbox One compatible?
The A10 headset does work well with the Xbox One. Verify that the bottom of your Xbox One controller has a 3.5mm port. The Xbox One controllers that ship on launch day will not feature this port, however, all recent iterations of the controller should. For audio and chat in-game, the A10 headset may be connected straight to this socket.
What volume?
The sound quality is excellent, and the gaming headphones are among the best we’ve heard in this price range. The issue with Astro is their subpar customer service. Therefore, if there is a problem, don’t expect it to be resolved right away. I had to call Amazon to help me, and they did.
How durable is it, as my headset just broke where it retracts?
It was inappropriate for the user to respond with “solid plastic.” The headband is made of plastic-coated flexible steel. As a result, the headband may be bent and twisted without losing its natural curve, strength, or toughness. That is to say, the headbands will maintain their strength and return to their normal curvature when you twist them. The speaker enclosures are composed of polypropylene. Rubber is used to make the microphone arm flexible.
